The Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook has just released their 2019-20 NBA Rookie of the Year odds, and to no one’s surprise, New Orleans’ Zion Williamson has opened as a strong favorite. The former Duke Blue Devil is -150 to capture the award, followed by Ja Morant (+400) and RJ Barrett (+500). If you’re looking for a long-shot, I think you can make a pretty solid case for Portland’s Nassir Little at 100-to-1. Little struggled to make an impact during his one season at North Carolina, but his talent is undeniable. He was the ranked as the No. 2 player in the country coming out of high school and was named the MVP of both the Jordan Brand Classic and the McDonald’s All-American Game. Little is capable of cracking the Blazers’ starting lineup at the beginning of next season, which is something that very few late first round picks can say.
