Philly’s road troubles are showing no signs of abating. The Sixers suffered a pair of heavy losses at Milwaukee and Cleveland (Cleveland?!), out of the All-Star break and got swept in their trek to Los Angeles. The loss to the Lakers on Tuesday night extended the Sixers’ road losing streak to nine games. The Gold Sheet offers their Kings vs. Sixers preview for Thursday night:
Date/Time: 03-5-2020, 22:00 EDT
Opening Spread: Sacramento -5
Opening Total: 221.5
With Joel Embiid nursing a balky shoulder and Ben Simmons probably out at least another week with back problems, the Sixers are a pretty hard sell in Sacramento. The Kings have shown some life since the All-Star break, as De’Arron Fox and Buddy Hield each scoring better than 20 points per game in a recent eight-game stretch. Recent series history not bad for Sacramento, either, as Kings have covered the last three meetings, including a combative six-point loss at Wells Fargo Center on Nov. 27 when both Simmons and Embiid were on the floor. The Sixers survived that contest thanks to 33 points from Embiid, which won’t be a luxury on Thursday night.
Sacramento Kings vs. Philadelphia 76ers Pick: Sacramento 116 – Philadelphia 107
