The Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook has just released their updated 2019 World Series odds, and the Cleveland Indians may be an attractive “buy low” candidate. The Indians are currently 21-19 and sit four games outside of first place in the AL Central behind the Minnesota Twins. After opening at +500 to win the American League and +1000 to win the World Series, Cleveland now sits at +700 and +1400. And both are likely to go higher.
Over the next two weeks, the Indians face the first-place Tampa Bay Rays and the defending champion Boston Red Sox, while the Twins don’t play a team above .500 until Memorial Day. But after that? Look out. After playing the Yankees in the second week of June, Cleveland gets to feast on the Royals, Reds and Tigers while Minnesota deals with Tampa Bay, Milwaukee, and Boston. The Indians will have every opportunity to eat into that deficit by July’s All-Star break. Keep an eye on those Cleveland futures prices and try to pick an attractive spot to capitalize.
