Tuesday MLB Free Play: Kansas City Royals at St. Louis Cardinals

Matt is 20-6 on MLB freebies this season, including seven wins in a row. He turns his attention to St. Louis on Tuesday night for an interleague clash between the Cardinals and the visiting Kansas City Royals.

Event: (929) Kansas City Royals at (930) St. Louis Cardinals
Sport/League: MLB
Date/Time: May 21, 2019 8PM EDT
Play: Total Over 9.0 (-109)

Michael Wacha is 3-1 with a 4.93 ERA in eight starts with five of them going over. The righty has allowed 12 runs and 20 hits in 15 innings at home this season. He’s had a problem with walks with 26 of them in 42 innings. The Royals are averaging nearly five runs per game against right-handed starters. Their offense isn’t spectacular, but they could take advantage of a bad starter. Homer Bailey is 4-4 with a 5.36 ERA in nine starts with five of them going over the total. Bailey is 6-15 with a 5.56 ERA in 27 starts against the Cards. Last year he saw them three times giving up 12 runs and 21 hits in just over 17 innings of work. St. Louis is scoring over five runs per game at home and has the potential to go nuts on Bailey and a bullpen that has 10 losses and eight blown saves in 13 chances. This one should see a ton of runs.
