Wednesday MLB Free Play: NY Yankees at Baltimore Orioles

It was a sin of omission not to have the NY Yankees runline on my card yesterday. I won’t make that same mistake again today! The Bronx Bombers are certainly living up to their nickname of late, pounding out 11, 10 and 13 runs over their last three ballgames. The Yanks are consistently winning by multi-run margins; 6-2 on the Run Line in their last eight games. This is a hot lineup worth riding, plain and simple.

Event: (967) NY Yankees at (968) Baltimore Orioles
Sport/League: MLB
Date/Time: May 22, 2019 7PM EDT
Play: New York Yankees -1.5 (-160)

Baltimore was thoroughly demoralized as their bullpen blew a four run lead in the final three innings on Monday, culminating in a game winning three run dinger from Gary Sanchez. They were non-competitive in defeat yesterday, fairly typical for a team who’s last nine losses have all come by multi-run margins. There’s been ample ‘lifeless’ baseball from the home dog this season, and it’s only May.

Dan Straily is arguably the single worst starter in baseball – the fifth starter on a last place Orioles team. He’s yet to record an out past the fifth inning in seven previous starts; current Yankees have hit .308 against him in their respective careers, with a 1.130 OPS. Behind him, Baltimore’s worn down bullpen is in shambles, in sharp contrast to the Yankees elite pen behind CC Sabathia. Chalk worth laying! Take the NY Yankees -1.5 on the Run Line.
