(801) Notre Dame at (802) Florida State

Florida State has the end goal of returning to the win column with a victory over Notre Dame. The 17th-ranked Seminoles had their eight-game winning streak snapped on Saturday in a game closely contested for the first 20 minutes and much of the second half.  FSU was within four points of the Heels with 10.5 minutes remaining but a quick 8-0 run by North Carolina put the game out of reach.

Notre Dame missed nine of its first 10 shots in their Saturday loss to ranked Virginia Tech.  In addition the Irish were careless in valuing possessions committing four turnovers in the first nine minutes of the defeat. Furthermore the Irish, generally a good rebounding team averaging 37.1 per game, got dominated on the glass by the Hokies. Therefore Virginia Tech finished the game with as many offensive rebounds (18) as Notre Dame had defensive boards.

(865) Kansas State at (866) Kansas

Kansas has won or shared the Big 12 Conference regular season title each of the last 14 seasons, the longest such streak in Division I history. Consequently the game at the Phog is a must win for the Rock Chalk crew if they want to remain in contention for a 15th straight league crown. Most noteworthy finds the Jayhawks undefeated at home this season and the Wildcats haven’t won a game in Lawrence since 2006.
