Hangover alert here. Real Madrid comes into this match against a much weaker opponent after a huge Champions League road with at Ajax on Wednesday. It will be hard for them to bring their best against a team they have beaten three times already this season, twice in the Copa del Rey and once in the reverse fixture, 4-1 at Girona.

Event: Girona at Real Madrid
Date/Time: February 17, 2019 6AM EST
Play: Girona +2.0 (-110)

Madrid will be without Balloon d’Or winner Luka Modric for this match due to yellow cards, but they are plenty deep enough to make up for it. However, I think this is a good spot for Girona to catch Madrid napping and be able to keep the game closer than the line indicates.

Girona has just five wins on the year, but also has nine draws, resulting in only nine losses on the year. Away from home, they have actually had more success with a 3-4-4 record and a 12:15 goal differential. They lost their last road match 0-3 at Eibar, but that was actually the first road game this year they have lost against this spread. They have two other two goal losses, at previously mentioned Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey and at Sevilla. But they also have draws at Atletico Madrid (3-3 Copa del Rey) and Barcelona (2-2 La Liga) showing they are more than capable of hanging with the big boys. This is a good spot for Girona.

TAKE GIRONA +2
