MLS Free Play: New York City FC at Chicago Fire

Although New York City FC only have four wins this season, they also only have one loss on the year as they have drawn in six games already. Their four wins have also all come in their last five games as they are starting to settle in nicely to their lineup after losing much of their offense from last year with David Villa and Yangel Herrera no longer on the team. However, it’s been their defense that has been key for them as they have kept four clean sheets in their last five games and have kept six on the season in 11 matches.

Play: New York City FC +0.25 (-120)

Chicago had a very bad loss last weekend, losing 1-4 at San Jose but they have been playing really well at home this season with four wins, two draws and one loss. They are on a three game home winning streak, however those wins were against Colorado, New England and Minnesota, three non-playoff teams from last year and only Minnesota is currently in a playoff position this year.

New York City FC was off last weekend and had an extra week to prepare for this match and I think we will see them continue their 7-game unbeaten run here with at least a draw.
